One Philly Unity Concert for America’ Became an Unforgettable Celebration

Not even Mother Nature could stop Philadelphia from celebrating at the Independence Day free concert. There are concerts you enjoy, and then there are concerts you never forget. Philadelphia’s One Philly: Unity Concert for America became the latter. What was expected to be another spectacular Fourth of July concert transformed into one of the most unforgettable live music events the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection has seen in years. Torrential rain, powerful wind gusts, flash flooding rolled through the City, and a mandatory evacuation of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway threatened to end the evening before it truly began. But after hours of uncertainty, Philadelphia did what it always does—it waited, it endured, it preserved and when the music returned, the city celebrated louder than ever. From the opening moments, the evening showcased why Philadelphia, “The Original Music City” continues to be one of music’s greatest cities. And when the music finally returned, the city answered with one unforgettable celebration. Before a single note was played, the production itself was a showstopper. The massive stage stretched across the Parkway with towering LED screens, dazzling lighting, and state-of-the-art visuals that created a spectacular backdrop worthy of the holiday celebration. Framed by the iconic Benjamin Franklin Parkway, every performance felt larger than life, proving that the City of Philadelphia and ESM productions, a Roc Nation company, spared no expense in creating a first-class experience for fans. The evening opened with renowned musical director Adam Blackstone, whose commanding double-bass performance immediately energized the crowd and set the tone for the celebration. Blackstone’s musicianship reminded everyone why he remains one of the industry’s most respected bandleaders, seamlessly preparing the audience for what would become an incredible night of music. That momentum continued with Infinity Song, whose breathtaking harmonies and effortless musicianship captivated the audience from the very first note. The sibling quartet’s rich vocals blended beautifully, delivering a soulful and uplifting performance that showcased why they continue to be one of music’s most exciting rising groups. Their set offered the perfect balance of elegance, warmth, and inspiration. … Continue reading Weather Couldn’t Stop Philly: ‘One Philly Unity Concert for America’ Became an Unforgettable Celebration of the City’s Heart and Soul The post Weather Couldn’t Stop Philly: ‘One Philly Unity Concert for America’ Became an Unforgettable Celebration of the City’s Heart and Soul appeared first on ThisisRnB.com – New R&B Music, Artists, Playlists, Lyrics.

The young professionals are contributing across production, wardrobe, multimedia, and tour operations of the R&B tour. Some of them also worked at the 2026 BET Awards. The R&B tour is in full effect with everything fans can expect from Usher and Chris Brown. Along with wowing the crowd with stellar vocals, dynamic dance routines, sexual innuendo, and seamless production, the titans have shared the stage with several special guests so far, including Eric Bellinger, Tank, Mario, and Jermaine Dupri. During the stop in Detroit on July 2, 2026, members from the Detroit and Atlanta EIC cohorts shared what they’re learning as they build career skills that will take them across the world. From coordinating with Usher’s massive team to making sure the outfits match the performance to loading and unloading equipment, the interns are involved with every aspect of the tour. President & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Detroit and Co-Founder of Usher’s New Look, Shawn Wilson, noted the historic significance of this moment. “This is the first time a major artist has launched an official internship program while on tour,” he said. The interns agreed that every show brings something different. They also shared that while they get vital experience with the equipment and technical skills, they are trained in work ethic and longevity. “It’s important to remember the three C’s,” said Nina Williams, who handles Camera Operations as the Multimedia Lead. “Don’t get comfortable because you will get complacent, and then you will get cut.” For Usher, who was a Boys and Girls Club member as a kid, the Entertainment Industry Club: Live Touring Edition is about passing the torch while leaving a legacy for future creative professionals. “Through Usher’s New Look and our partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Detroit, we’re giving young adults the chance to gain hands-on experience through our internship program,” said the “Superstar” singer. “It’s about opening doors, building confidence, and inspiring the next generation of leaders and professionals in the live entertainment industry.” The interns have become a family during their adventures on the road as they lean on and learn from each other. When asked what it takes to become part of the program, the advice was simple. “Get involved with Usher’s New Look; show up and be ready to work,” said Logan Hrabowski, code name Threadz.
